So how often do you get to see women Morris Dancing in London? Well, pretty frequently in the summer months....2010 here we come!!

New Year's Day dancing outside Sheffield Cathedral, with Sheffield City Morris, Hammersmith Morris, and William Morris.

31 Jan

Queensborough Community Centre, Borough - Social Club Party.

23 April

St George's Day, dancing in Borough Market from around 7.30pm, as part of the St George in Southwark Festival, with our guests Hammersmith Morris. Start time approx 7.30pm at the Old Thameside Inn, followed by the Brew Wharf, and the Market Porter.

24 April

Annual party at St George's Gardens, Bloomsbury.

1 May

May Day! We will be touring Islington in the afternoon with our traditional Milk maid's garland, starting at The Compton Arms from around 11.30 am. Then we will take our garland down Upper St and dance outside the King's Head; followed by Islington Green; the Steam Passage at 44 Upper St; and the Camden Head at 2 Camden Walk.

2 May

We will be taking part in the fabulous Village Fete in and around the Queen Elizabeth Hall, South Bank Centre, organised by Folk against Fascism.

16 May

Family concert including workshop at Morley College, open to the public. Concert starts at 10.30 am, finishing at 12.30pm. After this we will head to The Three Stags, 67 Kennington Road, SE1 7PZ.

19 May

Wednesday evening tour on the South Bank with the Belles of London City, at the Founders Arms, 52 Hopton Street, Bankside, SE1 9JH.

29 May

Dancing at the relaunch of the County Arms, 345 Trinity Road, Wandsworth, SW18 3SH, from around 1pm.

2 June

Wednesday evening Borough tour with Adelaide Morris Men starting at The Lord Clyde at 27 Clenham St SE1 1ER, followed by The Royal Oak at 44 Tabard St SE1 4JU.

4-6 June

We will be dancing in North Derbyshire with Sheffield City Morris, on their 35th Birthday celebratory weekend.

21 June

Solstice tour at the Duke of York, followed by the Marquis of Granby - both on Rathbone St, London W1

26 June

St Albans Folk Festival of Dance with St Albans Morris Men and other teams.

3-5 July

We will be dancing with Great Western Morris at their 40th Birthday party weekend celebrations..get the beers in!

21 July

Wednesday evening Clerkenwell tour, starting at The Crown Tavern, 43 Clerkenwell Green at 8pm, followed by The Three Kings at 7 Clerkenwell Close at 8.45pm, and finishing up at 9.30 pm at The Jerusalem Tavern, 55 Britton St.

24 July

Ducklington Day of Dance, in some of the villages where the Costswold tradition started, with Ducklington Morris and other teams.

Most local tours will take place in or around London on a Wednesday evening. Exact locations and guest teams will be posted as they become confirmed.

Wednesday tours are 7.30pm for dancing at 8pm. If there is a second pub listed we will aim to dance there at around 9pm. Dancing will usually be over by 10pm but we will undoubtedly still be hanging around for some beer!
